All about me!



Hello! I'm Elodie, thought I usually go as Lody online because Elodie is such a common name. I turned 16 April 9th, 2005. I'm French, speak it and all, but I've lived in Hawaii for the past 7 years. I've had this website for over 3 years, been dolling about the same amount of time. That covers the basics XD.

Dolling is my favorite hobby. I started dolling in the summer of 2002, when my guild on neopets had a dollmaker and after going to look for more dollmakers on google, I found handdrawn dolls. I loved the concept, and coincidencially managed to obtain a tablet for very cheap. I haven't ever stopped dolling since, and don't plan to. From dolling I found my way to a variety of other art forms, digital and traditional, and I am now pretty much art-obsessed; it's one of the two careers I am considering pursuing. All of my dolls are done in Paint Shop Pro 7. PSP is at edition ten now, but seven still works fine for all my pixel work! You can get a trial of ten on the Corel website. As for CGing, I do all that in openCanvas. It's great for realistic looks and it doesn't cost anywhere near what photoshop does, which is the other program alternative for CGing.

Most of my traditional art isn't on my site because it's hard to scan with good quality when your scanner sucks, but I'll still talk about it XD. I started drawing seriously a year after I started dolling, basing all my art on the W.I.T.C.H. manga. I've branched off into doing my own art now. My prefered medium is definitely colored pencils, prismacolors to be specific. I'm getting a 120-set for Christmas, and I'm going to go crazy XD. I also do a lot of pencil sketches, and some inked copic work. Not much of the copic stuff cause I only have 12 markers, too little colors. Stupid super-expensive things.

Other than art, I adore reading. I'm a Wheel of Time fan, I love the series. I also love Tamora Pierce, Kate Koja, Holly Black.... and a billion more authors! If you want to recommand good books to me / discuss awesome books, feel free to email me ^^.
